Setting up your Willful account is the first step in creating your legal documents. Your account gives you access to start, save, and return to your estate planning documents at any time.
What is a Willful account?
Your Willful account is your secure, personal dashboard where you can create, edit, and store your estate planning documents. It allows you to:
Start your will or power of attorney documents
Save your progress and return anytime
Access completed documents for download or printing
Update your documents as your life changes
How to create your Willful account
Go to willful.co
Click the Get started button in the top right-hand corner
Enter your email and password on the sign-up page
Provide some basic information about yourself, such as your name
Select a plan to begin working through the process of creating your will
Name tip: When creating your will, use the name that appears on your ID. If your provincial and federal IDs differ, use the name on your federal ID. This helps ensure that your documents match official records, which can help avoid delays or confusion during legal processes.
Do I need to pay to create an account?
No. You can create your account and start your documents for free. Payment is only required when you’re ready to finalize and download your legal documents.
Payment info:
We use the payment processor Stripe, which has various fraud detection measures. If your payment doesn’t go through, try the following troubleshooting steps:
Check your postal code: The most common reason for payment failure is a mismatch between the postal code associated with your credit card and the one you're entering.
Try a different card: Stripe does not support cards that require 3DS Identity Verification.
Contact us: If the issue continues, reach out to us so we can check the error message and help resolve the problem.
Can I use the same account for my partner or family?
Each Willful account is designed for a single individual, even if you have purchased the Premium x2 plan. For security, privacy, and legal accuracy, we recommend that each adult creates their own account to ensure that their documents reflect their personal information and choices.
