Willful’s Premium Coverage x 2 plan gives two adults a complete set of legal documents, each in their own secure Willful account. You get one plan, and the person you invite gets the other, so each of you can create and update your documents privately. Your invitee can be anyone: a spouse, partner, parent, sibling, or friend. Want to buy plans for more people? Gift a will instead.
Important: You'll need to complete your purchase of the Premium Coverage x2 plan before you can send an invitation. The Send invite button only appears in your account settings once your purchase has gone through.
How to invite someone to your plan
Open your account settings, or follow these steps:
Log in to your Willful account.
On desktop, click your profile icon in the top right corner. On mobile, open the menu in the top right corner.
Select Account settings.
Scroll to Your plan.
Click Send invite.
Enter your invitee's First name, Last name, and Email address.
Click Send invite.
Tip: Double-check the email address for typos or stray spaces. A mistyped address is the most common reason an invitation doesn't arrive.
What happens next
The person you invited gets an email with a link to claim their plan. They'll create their own Willful account and can start their documents right away.
Until they accept, their name and email appear under Your plan in your account settings, with Resend and Remove buttons. Once they've claimed their plan, it's theirs to use.
Common questions
The invitation hasn't arrived. What should I do?
Give it up to 30 minutes, and ask your invitee to check their Junk/Spam or promotions folder. If it still hasn't arrived, go to Your plan in your account settings and click Resend on their card. If the email address is wrong, click Remove instead, then click Send invite again with the correct address.
Can I cancel or change an invitation?
As long as the invitation hasn't been claimed, go to Your plan in your account settings, click Remove on their card, then click Send invite to invite someone else. If your invitee has already created their account, the plan is theirs; contact us if you need help.
What if their email address is already in use?
An email address can only be attached to one Willful account. If your invitee signed up in the past, even without finishing, you can either invite them with a different email address, or they can log in to their old account and delete it first, then accept the invitation. Any progress in the old account would be lost when it's deleted.
Can we share one email address?
We understand that some couples or family members may prefer to share a single email address. However, each Willful account must have a unique email address. This requirement is in place to protect your privacy and ensure that each person's legal documents remain secure and confidential.
If you share an inbox, Gmail users can add "+1" before the @ (for example, [email protected]) to create a unique address that still goes to the same inbox.
