Deleting your account means we’ll permanently remove your personal information, along with any saved or completed documents. If you're sure you're done with Willful, we're here to help you close things out smoothly.
What happens when you delete your account?
Deleting your Willful account means:
Your personal details, including name, email, and address, will be permanently deleted
All saved progress and completed legal documents will be removed
You will no longer be able to log in or access your documents
Note: This action is irreversible. If you think you might want to access your documents in the future, consider downloading and saving them to a secure location before deleting your account. If you decide to return to Willful later, you'll need to create a brand new account and purchase a new plan to create documents again.
Deleting your account does not unsubscribe you from our mailing list. If you'd prefer to stop receiving emails but keep your account, you can click "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any promotional email. Learn more in our article on subscribing/unsubscribing to newsletters and promo information.
How to delete your account
You can delete your account directly from your Willful account settings. Here’s how:
Log in to your Willful account at app.willful.co.
Click Menu in the top blue bar, then select Account Settings.
On the left-hand side, select Delete your account.
Click the Delete account button.
Confirm the deletion by entering your password in the pop-up prompt.
If you purchased the premium x2 bundle
If you purchased the Premium x2 bundle, please make sure that the second person has accepted their invitation before you delete your account. Once your account is deleted, the second person will no longer be able to accept the invitation.
To check if the invitation has been accepted:
Click MENU and then select Account Settings.
Look under your plan details. A green check mark next to each plan indicates that the invitation has been accepted.
We recommend confirming this status before proceeding with account deletion to avoid access issues for your invited user.
What if I change my mind?
Once your account is deleted, we are unable to recover any of your documents or information. If you're unsure, we recommend downloading your documents or unsubscribing to our newsletters instead.
